Travel Essentials

Flights

Tocumen International Airport (PTY) is Panama City's main airport. Copa Airlines flies nonstop from most major US cities (NYC, Miami, Houston, LA, Atlanta, Orlando, DC, Chicago) and across Latin America. If you're in Latin America, you may also find flights into Panamá Pacífico International Airport (BLB).

From PTY to Punta Paitilla: ~25 minutes off-peak, up to an hour in rush-hour traffic. An Uber should cost about $20–25.

From BLB to Punta Paitilla: ~20 minutes off-peak, up to an hour in rush-hour traffic. An Uber should cost about $15–20.

Hotel

We've blocked rooms at two hotels in Punta Paitilla to keep the group close together. Both walking distance to the Shabbat welcome dinner and a short Uber from everything else. Both hotels are holding rooms and honoring the group rate until July 15, so please make sure to book by then. If needed, cancelation is free up to 24 hours before check-in.

Getting Around

We recommend using Uber. Walking is safe in Punta Paitilla and Punta Pacifica, although sidewalks aren't a guarantee. Walking is also safe in tourist areas like Casco Viejo, but stick to the center — don't wander into the streets surrounding it.
